What is inside a seed?

A seed contains an embryo, reserves and a protective coat. Sexual reproduction recombines genetic information from the parents. Seed-grown offspring are therefore not automatically genetically identical copies. A variety name does not replace documented provenance.

Seed-coat markings cannot reliably identify CBD, THC or lineage. CBD seeds and THC seeds describe expected traits of the descendant plants, not a cannabinoid concentration inside the seed.

Development and selection claims

Seed development follows pollination and fertilisation. Maturity and appearance do not establish a chemical target or an authorised use. A responsible description separates seed type, flowering response, origin and measurements.

Ask whether parentage is documented, breeder claims are attributed and a laboratory value refers to a specific sample. Unknown information should stay visible. This platform evaluates knowledge; it does not provide cultivation instructions.

A history of different uses

Hemp has long been selected for fibre, seeds and other uses. Historical categories and modern trade names follow different conventions. Geographic origin, variety name and genetic evidence are separate kinds of information. In Switzerland, agricultural seed rules must be considered separately from narcotics law.
